Farmer Smith
The Green Smith Farm Apiary was a hive of activity, though not always in the way its owner, Farmer Smith, intended. A fervent believer in his own brand of “BEE” compliance for his apiary, Farmer Smith insisted that every single one of his worker bees had undergone rigorous training in “compliance standards.” This involved legions of tiny, bee-sized clipboards being meticulously examined by drones, ensuring more than 50% hive ownership by bees, and extensive workshops on pollen collection quotas and honey production targets.
Apparently, even the Queen Bee herself had been dispatched to a remedial hive-mind course because her royal decree on optimal nectar gathering was deemed “non-compliant” with the latest industry buzz. Farmer Smith often stood amidst the hives, spectacles perched precariously on his nose, muttering about the essential need for every hive to be a fully compliant and profit-generating unit. He remained blissfully unaware that his apiary’s biggest compliance issue was the rogue emu that had declared itself CEO of the chicken feeder.
